Expert Determination

Expert determination enables disputing parties to designate an expert to offer insights on legal, commercial, or technical aspects. If negotiations reach an impasse during mediation or conciliation, parties can seek an expert opinion on particular issues to advance discussions and potentially reach a resolution.

The ADR Justice Centre does not uphold a registry of qualified experts for expert determination in cases managed by the Centre. Instead, parties have the option to jointly select a pertinent expert in the respective field.
